Maleme

MALEME has all that is needed with supermarkets, one of which is English; doctors, chemists, petrol stations, butchers, bakers, many restaurants including THE TARVERNA MALEME on the beach.

Platanias is close by with its many shops and bars and Kastelli in the other direction makes its situation perfect. Only 20 km from Chania town and close to the beautiful beaches of Falasarna and Elafonisi.

Kastelli Kissamos

Kastelli, Kissamos is situated at the western end of Crete, in the beautiful gulf of Kissamou. It has a very good infrastructure with banks, schools, tavernas, cafes and its own port and beach. Also nearby are the fantastic beaches of Falasarna and Elafonisi. Access to the many ruins of Roman, Byzantine and Venetian eras.

Shops selling leather, gold and local folklore items. Very close to the unmistakable Gramvoussa Penninsula Lagoon. Chania is 30 minutes by car, airport 45mins, it has easy access to the national road with a bus service.

Chania

Even though Iraklion is the official capital, Chania is known as the spiritual capital of Crete. The highlight of Chania is its magnificent Venetian waterfront with delightful restaurants and bars. Also lining the shimmering harbour is Venetian and Turkish architecture, narrow streets and dotted Minoan ruins that all add to the seductive charms of this city.

Kontomari

Kontomari is a beautiful, unspoilt village less than 5 minutes from Maleme and Platanias with their beaches, shops, restaurants and night life. Night clubs are small and interesting and there is an abundance of fabulous restaurants serving the freshest of Greek and international food.

The nearest supermarket is 5 minutes away with bakeries and local shops. Chania airport is only 20 minutes away and the most wonderful town of Chania with its magnificent harbour, restaurants, shops and old town which has delightful quaint buildings and winding streets is close by.

Kontomari is surrounded by olive groves and orange trees and is in a great central location with villages and fishing harbours scattered about. The mountains are snow capped until May although overall Crete has 330 days of sunshine each year.
